Dresscodes

If you’ve glanced at the contents of this guide, this chapter might have caught you off guard. After all, why would a nudist village even have dresscodes? Surprisingly, for a place that celebrates nudity, Cap d’Agde has a variety of dress codes and if you arrive with an empty suitcase, you could miss out on some fun experiences!

Daytime is simple as anything goes. Most people stroll, bike or go about their day completely naked. You’ll spot some people wearing sarongs (or pareos) and the occasional cock ring paired with nothing more than flip-flops. While clothing is certainly allowed and no one will look twice if you’re dressed, after a few days of being one of the few wearing swim shorts or a bikini at the supermarket, you’ll naturally find yourself blending in with the nudist vibe.

Nightlife however, is a completely different story. It really depends on where you’re heading for the evening. If you’re just planning to walk around, grab dinner, or go to one of the bars, a sexy dress, fishnet, leather items or lingerie for the ladies will fit right in. Going topless with some decorative chains or pasties is totally normal too. For men, trendy festival style clothing, such as shorts and a stylish shirt works well, but there’s been a growing trend of guys embracing club or fetish wear, such as mesh shirts, neon tank tops, harnesses and leather shorts.

There are, however, some spots in Cap with stricter dress codes, especially at certain clubs and events. You’ll find more specific details in the Party Agenda where we break down the dress code requirements for a few specific events and locations.

If you find yourself missing certain items upon arrival, don’t worry! The majority of shops sell all kinds of sexy outfits for all genders, sizes and styles including some highly exclusive brands not to be found elsewhere. Any other wishes for your appearance? The village is also home to a few beauty salons, a hairdresser and a tattoo and  piercing shop.

One of the best ways to get a feel for the Cap d’Agde style is to spend your first day observing somewhere on the boardwalk at the Marina or near the beach. Grab a drink, sit back, and watch the parade of beautiful and unique outfits go by. This little bit of people-watching can help you ease into the flow of life at Cap and get comfortable with the kinky and erotic fashion choices around you.
